Season 4/Episode 11 | Return to Grace | Marcus "Big Milk" Estell

Updated: 2 days ago

🎙️ Upcoming Episode on the Unfiltered Unspoken Podcast 🎙️

This week, we welcome Marcus Estell, a man whose journey is a powerful testament to transformation and resilience.

Marcus grew up facing severe bullying as a child, which pushed him to fight back and, eventually, become a bully himself. This cycle of pain fueled insecurities, further complicated by his family’s financial struggles after his father suffered a debilitating injury. It wasn’t until junior high that Marcus began to find his strength, excelling in football and basketball. By high school, he was a basketball star, channeling his frustrations into the game.

However, Marcus’s youth took a darker turn. Drawn into a gang, he became entangled in a lifestyle of selling narcotics, robbery, violence, and partying, which led to a life-altering moment: being sentenced to five 50-year sentences at just 18 years old. After serving 13 years, Marcus emerged determined to rewrite his story.

Today, Marcus is a force for positive change. He speaks to youth and returning citizens, leads gang intervention efforts, and organizes peace rallies against gun violence. As the founder of Original Good Apparel, he uses his platform to inspire others. Marcus is also writing a book about his life to help those facing similar challenges.

Don’t miss this powerful episode as Marcus shares his journey from pain to purpose.
